Dr. Kate D. Renyolds, DVM, CCRP, CHPV

Kate Reynolds attended veterinary school at Michigan State University, graduating in 2003.  After a year spent in Sacramento, CA doing a rotating internship, she moved back to MI and joined the team at Union Lake Veterinary Hospital, an 11-DVM general practice.  In 2014 she earned her CCRP (Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner) certification and added canine physical rehab to her general medicine practice.  In 2020, Dr. Reynolds earned both her CHPV (Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Veterinarian) and her CVPP (Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner).

Dr. Reynolds began offering in-home euthanasia around the time she completed her CHPV training.  She has found that there is a beauty and peace in saying goodbye to animal family members in their own homes.  She hopes to share this information to other professionals to be adapted for any situation.  She will be leaving ULVH in August of 2021 and moving to North Carolina (where she's dreamed of living for quite some time) and will be joining Lap of Love in September of 2021.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Kate enjoys travel and exploring, reading, crafting, and spending time snuggling her "cat in a dog suit", Ava.  She is an alumnus and supporter of the American Youth Foundation, Outward Bound, and Woman Within training weekends.
